CREDIT MANAGEMENT MODULAR TRAINING PROGRAMME (CMTP) validates Learners’ understanding across the key elements of retail and commercial lending, including screening, due diligence, analysis, credit structuring, maintenance and monitoring, remedial and credit portfolio management. In addition, the programme seeks to enhance the learners’ understanding of the business world through impartation of entrepreneurship skills. The program’s objectives link to a particular skill development module. This enables us to target a Learner’s training to specific areas of the programme, saving our clients valuable time and money. Banks and Sacco Societies can use the CMTP to enhance the skills of any individual who is involved in or about to become involved in making credit decisions on behalf of the Institution. KIPROD CMTP consists of 3 (three) levels that link to each skill gap and provide the necessary learning. It teaches Learners how to gather data needed for analysis and decision-making, assess the risks of a prospective loan and structure and document for a retail or commercial loan package. The chief emphasis of the programme is on risk analysis identification of credit risks associated with loans, the development of strategies to manage identified risks and proactive collection strategies if at all a debt deteriorates to delinquency.
