Best Practices for Exporters – Documentary Letters of Credit Webinar
One of the most important considerations when it comes to international trade is how you are going to get paid for your exports. While relying on cash upfront may eliminate the risk of non-payment, it limits your universe of potential customers as it can cause cash flow and other problems for buyers.
This Webinar focuses on letters of credit (LCs). An L/C is a method of payment that is particularly suited to high value/high risk transactions. It is one of the four traditional methods of payment and is quite complex.
At the onset it must be remembered that trading across international borders means trading across different jurisdictions and legal systems, different rules and regulations, and the application, or lack thereof, of international conventions. Should payment not be forthcoming, suing the other party can be a very onerous task.
This half-day webinar reviews “Operational Flaws of L/Cs ” to ensure that you get paid for your exports.
